Last updated: October 10, 2026 (the log includes the app’s last closures).
InputStream Player (ISPlayer) is a video player for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV,
Mac, and Android (phone, Google TV, and Android TV). This policy explains what
data it handles and where that data stays.
What the app does not do
- It has no servers of its own. The developers receive none of your data,
except the diagnostics log if you choose to send it (see below).
- It uses no analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- It does not sell or share data with anyone.
Data stored on your device
To work, the app stores on your device what you set up:
- the channel lists, guides and add-ons you add;
- your preferences;
- what you have watched and your watch-later list.
Passwords and keys you enter are stored in the system Keychain (iPhone, iPad,
Apple TV, and Mac) or in the app’s private storage, which no other app can
access (Android).
The app connects directly to the addresses you add (lists, guides, add-ons,
videos). What those services do with your connection is up to them.
Other services the app talks to
- TMDb (The Movie Database): in Add-ons, to get the details and trailer of
a movie or series, the app asks TMDb for that title’s data by its identifier
and in your language. Nothing about you is sent.
- OpenSubtitles (Stremio add-on): when you play a video from Add-ons, the
app asks the OpenSubtitles add-on (and any other subtitle add-ons you have)
for the subtitles of that title by its IMDb identifier. A file is only
downloaded if you pick one. It can be turned off in Tus addons.
- YouTube: an add-on’s “Tráiler” button opens the video in the YouTube app
or the browser; from there, YouTube’s policy applies.
- XDP DNS (optional): if you turn on “Usar XDP DNS” in Preferences, the
names of the servers the app connects to are resolved with XDP DNS
(
lite.xdp.es), encrypted, instead of your network’s DNS. Off by default.
- GitHub (Android): to look for updates, the Android app checks the latest
release published in this repository and, if there is a new one, downloads
the APK from there.
Diagnostics log (Android)
Ajustes → Preferencias → Enviar registro creates a file with the app’s log,
device details (model, Android and app version), and why the app closed the
last few times (time, reason, and memory in use). Keys, tokens, and add-on
configurations are hidden before the file is created. The log does include
the addresses of lists, guides, and videos.
- Enviar (Send): the file, along with whatever you write in “¿Qué ha
pasado?”, is sent to the developer as a Telegram message (through a Telegram
bot used only for this). Only the developer reads it, to find the bug, and it
is not used for anything else. Telegram carries and stores it under its own
privacy policy. If you want it deleted, open an issue with the code the app
shows you.
- Compartir… (Share): you send it yourself to whoever you choose through
the share menu.
The file never leaves the device unless you tap one of the two.
Google Drive sync (optional)
If you sign in with Google, the app syncs your settings and watch history
across your devices using your own Google Drive:
- It uses only the
drive.file scope, which grants access only to the files
the app itself creates: an “InputStream Player” folder in your Drive. The
app cannot see, read or modify any other file in your Drive.
- That folder holds:
- your settings (lists, guides, add-ons with their addresses, preferences);
- what you have watched, with where you left off;
- your watch-later list;
- the name of each of your devices.
- That data goes straight from your device to your Drive. It never passes
through a server of ours and the developers have no access to it.
- Your Google email and name are not used or stored.
To stop syncing and delete that data:
- In the app, sign out of Google.
- In Google Drive, delete the “InputStream Player” folder.
- To revoke the permission, go to https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
and remove InputStream Player.
InputStream Player’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs
adheres to the Google API Services User Data
Policy,
including the Limited Use requirements.
Trakt (optional)
If you connect your Trakt account, the app talks to Trakt directly, never
through a server of ours:
- From Trakt it brings what you have watched, what you left half-way and
your watchlist.
- To Trakt it sends what you mark as watched or unwatched, your
watch-later list and what you are watching at the moment (“watching now”).
- Only titles with an IMDb or TMDB id are synced.
- The session is kept in each device’s Keychain and the developers have
no access to it.
- What Trakt does with that data is covered by Trakt’s own privacy policy.
To stop syncing: “Desconectar Trakt” in the app. To revoke access, on Trakt:
Settings → Connected Apps.

Apple TV, Mac y Android (móvil, Google TV y Android TV).
- las listas de canales, guías y addons que añades;
- tus preferencias;
no accede ninguna otra app (Android).
- tu configuración (listas, guías, addons con sus direcciones, preferencias);
- lo que has visto, con el punto por el que ibas;
- tu lista «Ver más tarde»;
no tienen acceso a ella.
